Earthquake of 4.7 Magnitude Hits Southern Turkiye
Istanbul, February 26 (QNA) - A 4.7-magnitude earthquake struck southern Turkiye on Thursday, centered in Albistan, Kahramanmarash province, at 20:17 local time, with no immediate reports of casualties or damage.
The Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) reported that the quake occurred at a depth of seven kilometers and that field teams continue precautionary surveys and assessments in the affected area.
Turkiye, located on a major seismic fault line, experienced a devastating earthquake on February 6, 2023, which killed more than 50,000 people and caused widespread infrastructure damage across multiple provinces. (QNA)
