Doha, February 26 (QNA) - The Ministry of Culture organized the "Al Razji 2026" heritage event Wednesday at its permanent Darb Al Saai venue in the Umm Salal area.

The event is set to continue until March 3, offering a Ramadan experience that embodies the authenticity of the past and Qatar's time-honored heritage.

Director of the Public Relations and Communication Department at the Ministry of Culture, Ahmed Al Yafei, affirmed to Qatar News Agency (QNA) that the event is part of the ministry's strategy to preserve national heritage, strengthen its presence in the collective consciousness of society, and ensure the sustainability of popular traditions across generations.

The event offers a unified platform for all age groups in an enduring heritage environment, providing interactive experiences that immerse visitors in Qatari traditions and national identity, he underlined.

The event features the second Al Razji quiz, with questions about Ramadan and Islamic culture, alongside art exhibitions including animation films, heritage photography, and rare collectibles reflecting Qatar's rich cultural roots.

A dedicated interactive area for children (ages 5-13) combines learning and entertainment with traditional activities like Garangao, maritime challenges, weaving workshops, and knowledge stations to foster creativity and cultural awareness.

For visitors 15 and older, specialized workshops on Grandparents' Skills in the Hands of Grandchildren teach time-honored crafts such as visual arts, pottery, candle-making, traditional embroidery, and heritage innovation projects.

The event runs daily from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m., offering a comprehensive journey to preserve Qatari traditions, strengthen cultural awareness among youth, and connect generations to the nation's history and values. (QNA)
