Doha, February 25 (QNA) - Record turnout has been strikingly noticed from male and female Qatari children at the 31st Sheikh Jassim bin Mohammed bin Thani Holy Quran Competition, marked by a terrific performance that underlined the overriding interest of family and society to have a well‑aware generation that memorizes the Holy Qur'an.

A total of 369 boys and 384 girls have registered to participate in the Juniors category this year, totaling 753 participants. They will compete in memorizing one part of the last five sections of the Holy Qur'an, within age requirements designed to encourage early memorization and strengthen proper recitation skills from a young age.

The males have been tested at Imam Muhammad ibn Abd Al Wahhab Mosque, with the Department of Da'wah and Religious Guidance -Women's Activity Center in Al Waab being allocated for females, amid meticulous organization and a spiritually prepared atmosphere that fosters reassurance and focus.

The organizing panel endorses the online judging system to ensure accuracy and transparency in grade monitoring, with qualified judging panels of national talents from Qatari males and females assuming the calibration mission based on the highest objective criteria and perfection.

The performance levels showcased by these Qatari young people have been a vindication of unwavering productive educational efforts in homes and schools, as well as in the Holy Qur'an education classes at Awqaf centers. As such, promising models have been eminent, combining good memorization and recitation in a scene that confirms the deep-rooted educational milestone this contest has attained in the path of Quranic teachings in the nation.

The branch of young learners is an early platform dedicated to exploring their abilities to memorize and carefully reflect on the Holy Qur'an, as its role isn't merely confined to inculcating faith values but rather deepening discipline, perseverance, and the spirit of decent competition in children.

This is in addition to reinforcing their links to religious and cultural identity, endowing them with self-confidence through engagement in a phenomenal national forum for the Holy Qur'an.

The ministry emphasizes its commitment to taking care of memorizers through this contest, in pursuit of building a generation that cherishes the Holy Qur'an and touts its value to be able to ideally recite, as part of the efforts to uphold the care path of the Holy Qur'an in the State of Qatar, reflecting its mission to serve the Book of Allah and consolidating its presence in the life of individuals and the community.
