Doha, February 21 (QNA) - Three matches will be staged tomorrow, Sunday, at the Al Furjan fields in the Al Thumama area as part of the third Al Thumama Ramadan Youth Football Tournament.

The matches are held in collaboration with the Qatar Sports for All Federation (QSAF), with the participation of 13 teams.

Clashing in this saga are Abdullah Bin Turki vs. Al Rayyan, Al Wajba vs. Doha, and Al Thumama vs. Al Zaeem.

The tournament had kicked off on its opener with three intense matches marked by a high scoring rate. Abdullah Bin Turki team took a victory lap over Doha with a 9-0 triumph, during which Ibrahim Hasan Al Emadi was awarded the Best Player of the Match.

In the second match, Al Zaeem drew 1-1 with Al Wajba, and Adam Mazen of Al Wajba team received the Best Player award. In the third encounter, Al Rayyan team triumphed over Al Thumama 3-1, with Tim Allah Ayman of Al Rayyan recognized as the Best Player.

The tournament’s organizing committee divided the participating teams into two groups. The first group, consisting of six teams, included: Turki Bin Abdullah, Doha, Al Wajba, Al Zaeem, Al Rayyan, and Al Thumama. The second group, with seven teams, comprised: Al Dafna, Al Shaab, Al Waab, Medical Care, Palestine, Al Shaqab, and Al Shahaniya. Three matches will be conducted per day at the Al Furjan fields.

Chairman of the Tournament Organizing Committee, Hassan Al Ishaq, said he was gratified with the powerful launch of this tournament, emphasizing that the record turnout and the high-quality performance on the first day reflected the success of the event and the achievement of its intended objectives.

He added that this year was marked by a remarkable participation of 13 teams, confirming the status that the tournament has attained in a short period, particularly as it is allotted to the age group of 10 to 14 years - a crucial stage for nurturing talents and developing their capabilities. (QNA)
