Qatar Participates in Opening Ceremony of Singapore Airshow 2026
Singapore, February 02 (QNA) - The State of Qatar, represented by the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority (QCAA), participated in the opening ceremony of the Singapore Airshow 2026, one of the key international exhibitions specializing in the aviation and space industry, which constitutes a global platform that brings together senior decision-makers and aviation sector leaders from various countries around the world to discuss prospects for strategic partnerships and enhance coordination among various international partners.
In Charge of Managing QCAA, Mohamed bin Faleh Al Hajri, represented the State of Qatar at the opening ceremony in the presence of HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Republic of Singapore, Abdulaziz bin Ahmed Al Malki Al Jehani.
The exhibition was opened by HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Trade and Industry of the Republic of Singapore Gan Kim Yong, in the presence of high-level ministers and senior government officials, representatives of international aviation organizations, regulatory bodies, and global airlines.
On the sidelines of his participation in the Changi Aviation Summit 2026 in Singapore, In Charge of Managing QCAA, Mohamed bin Faleh Al Hajri, held a series of bilateral meetings with several heads of civil aviation organizations and authorities from different countries.
Al Hajri met with HE President of African Civil Aviation Commission (AFCAC) Florent Serge Dzota and Secretary General of AFCAC Adefunke Adeyemi. The discussions focused on areas of technical and institutional cooperation between the State of Qatar and the AFCAC, as well as the exchange of expertise, support for capacity-building initiatives, and enhanced coordination on issues of mutual interest within international forums.
Al Hajri also held two separate meetings with Director General of the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines Raul L. Del Rosario and Director General of the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority Nadir Shafi Dar. The meetings addressed ways to further develop bilateral cooperation in the air transport sector and strengthen air connectivity, supporting the growth of air traffic as well as commercial and tourism exchange.
These meetings reflect the QCAA's commitment to strengthening its international partnerships and enhancing Qatar's presence in the global civil aviation system. (QNA)
