Six Syrians Detained During Israeli Occupation Incursion in Southern Syria
Damascus, February 18 (QNA) - Six Syrian men were arrested on Wednesday evening during an Israeli occupation incursion into the Yarmouk Basin area in the western countryside of Daraa, southern Syria, according to local sources.
An Israeli force comprising more than 20 military vehicles entered the village of Al Masritiyah in rural Daraa, carrying out house raids and searches before detaining two young men. The force withdrew after approximately an hour, residents said.
In a separate incident, another Israeli unit stopped a civilian vehicle near Wadi Al Raqad, close to the village of Jamlah. Four men inside the car were detained and taken, along with their vehicle, into the occupied Golan Heights.
Damascus has repeatedly accused Israel occupation forces of violating the 1974 disengagement agreement through incursions, arrests and land clearing operations, and has called on the international community to intervene and press for a withdrawal from what it considers its sovereign land. (QNA)
