Islamabad, February 18 (QNA) - One person was killed and two others were injured in an armed attack targeting a customs checkpoint in the northwest of Pakistan, authorities announced.

The Pakistani news agency reported that armed men launched an attack on a customs checkpoint in Dera Ismail Khan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

It added that the checkpoint's security force managed to repel the attackers and prevent them from breaching it.

During the heavy exchange of fire, one person was killed and two others were injured, while the armed men fled after the clashes. (QNA)
