Tunis, February 17 (QNA) - Espérance Sportive de Tunis delivered a 3-0 victory over Avenir Sportif de Soliman in their rescheduled Tunisian Ligue Professionnelle Round 19 fixture.
Espérance opened the scoring in the 15th minute through Florian Danho. Kouceila Boualia doubled the advantage on 31st minutes, before Mohamed Amine Ben Hamida converted a penalty in first-half stoppage time (45+1).
Soliman had a golden opportunity to reduce the deficit in the 60th minute, but Jasser Khmiri failed to convert from the penalty spot.
The victory lifts Espérance to second place with 43 points from 19 matches, narrowing the gap to two points behind leaders Club Africain, who have played 21 games. Meanwhile, Soliman remain rooted to the bottom of the table with 13 points. (QNA)
