QSE Drops 0.87% at Start of Trading
Doha, February 17 (QNA) - The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) general index dropped 99.53 points, or 0.87%, at the start of Tuesday's trading, down to the level of 11,327 points compared to the previous session's closing.
The market was weighed down by declines across six sectors: Real Estate (-0.37%), Transportation (-0.42%), Consumer Goods and Services (-0.43%), Banks and Financial Services (-0.43%), Industrials (-0.46%), and Telecoms (-0.67%). Meanwhile, Insurance rose by (+0.58%).
By 10:00 am, QSE reported a turnover of QR 52.961 million, with 17.847 million shares traded in 2,895 transactions. (QNA)
