Ukrainian President Urges Washington to Intensify Pressure on Russia to End War
Munich, February 15 (QNA) Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy called on the United States to exert more pressure on Russia ahead of a new round of talks aimed at ending the war.
Speaking on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference, President Zelenskyy said the United States often asks only Ukraine to make concessions, not Russia. However, he expressed hope that the trilateral talks scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday in Geneva would be "serious and substantive", adding that the Ukrainian government expects a willingness to make concessions from the Kremlin as well.
US President Donald Trump, in remarks yesterday, urged his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelenskyy to take action on a potential peace agreement with Russia, arguing that it is up to Ukraine to take the next step in this direction. (QNA)
