5.4-Magnitude Earthquake Strikes Western Indonesia
Jakarta, February 15 (QNA) - A 5.4-magnitude earthquake struck Iliwerung, Solor Island in western Indonesia.
The Indonesian Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) reported that the quake occurred at a depth of 10 kilometers.
No tsunami warnings were issued.
Indonesia lies on the Pacific Ring of Fire, where numerous tectonic plates meet, causing frequent volcanic and seismic activity. (QNA)
