Doha, February 14 (QNA) - Al Sadd reached the quarterfinals of HH the Amir Cup 2026 after defeating Al Markhiya 2-1 at Hamad Bin Khalifa Stadium on Saturday in the Round of 16 of the 54th edition of the tournament.
Spanish striker Rafa Mujica scored both goals for Al Sadd in the 75th minute (from a penalty) and in the 77th minute, while that of Al Markhiya was achieved by Senegalese striker Mamadou Naby Sarr in the second minute of stoppage time (90+2).
Al Sadd will now face Al Shamal, who secured its place in the quarterfinals with a 2-1 victory over Qatar SC. (QNA)
