Doha, February 12 (QNA) - World No. 13 Victoria Mboko reached the semifinals of Qatar TotalEnergies Open after defeating World No. 3 Elena Rybakina in three sets today.

The 19 year-old secured victory over Rybakina, the 2026 Australian Open champion, 7-5, 4-6, 6-4. The Canadian player, who has won two titles so far in her career, will face Latvia’s Jelena Ostapenko in tomorrow’s semifinal. Ostapenko had earlier advanced after defeating Italy’s Elisabetta Cocciaretto 7-5, 6-4.

The young Canadian has delivered an impressive performance in the tournament so far, eliminating Russia’s World no. 7 Mirra Andreeva. (QNA)
