Pakistani President Warns Against Military Escalation in the Middle East
Islamabad, February 12 (QNA) - Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari warned Thursday against any military escalation that could destabilize the Middle East.
In remarks, Zardari welcomed efforts aimed at easing tensions and promoting regional peace, stressing that further escalation could destabilize not only the Middle East but also South and West Asia.
He reaffirmed his support for peaceful dialogue to safeguard regional and global security, highlighting the serious consequences of resolving disputes through military means, which could undermine global peace and harm the world economy.
Zardari further underscored Pakistan's commitment to balanced international relations and expressed readiness to play a constructive role in promoting restraint, dialogue, and regional peace.
Days earlier, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated that diplomacy remains the only path to resolving Iran's nuclear issue, noting Tehran's serious engagement in recently launched negotiations with the United States. (QNA)
