Doha, February 12 (QNA) - The accompanying events of the Katara International Arabian Horse Festival 2026 have drawn to a close in Doha, following several days of artistic, cultural and commercial activities celebrating the heritage of the Arabian horse.
Held along the Katara Corniche, the festival's public events transformed the waterfront into a vibrant showcase of creativity inspired by the elegance and legacy of the purebred Arabian horse.
Visual artists taking part in mural painting and live saddle-painting sessions completed their works on the final day, turning open spaces into large-scale canvases.
Visitors gathered to watch the artworks take shape in real time, in what organizers described as an immersive experience bringing together art and equestrian tradition.
The festival also attracted a strong presence from specialist retailers and sponsors, presenting products and services reflecting both the deep-rooted cultural significance of the Arabian horse and ongoing efforts in innovation and development.
Among the participants was Sheikha Al Dakhil, founder of the Al Sa'afa project. She said the venture began with the production of a therapeutic oil for horses made from natural herbs and oils, designed to treat a range of conditions.
Al Dakhil said the success of the oil encouraged her to develop a broader brand combining traditional craftsmanship with contemporary design. The collection now includes heritage-inspired garments adapted for modern jackets and abayas, as well as accessories, coffee cups and dallahs decorated with motifs of Arabian horses inspired by the festival's atmosphere.
All products are handmade using natural ingredients, she added, noting strong demand from visitors, stable owners and artists attending the event.
Organizers said the festival continues to strengthen its reputation as a platform that celebrates the beauty of the Arabian horse while fostering cultural exchange and creative enterprise. (QNA)
