Doha, February 11 (QNA) - HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani met on Wednesday with HE Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of the Islamic Republic of Iran Dr. Ali Larijani, who is visiting the country.

During the meeting, they discussed ongoing efforts to de-escalate tensions in the region as well as the outcomes of the Muscat negotiations between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran.

HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs reiterated the State of Qatar's support for all efforts aimed at reducing tensions and achieving peaceful solutions that enhance security and stability in the region.

His Excellency also stressed the need for concerted efforts to spare the peoples of the region the consequences of escalation and highlighted the importance of continued coordination with brotherly and friendly countries to overcome differences through diplomatic means. (QNA)
