France's E-Commerce Sales Near €200 Billion in 2025
Paris, February 11 (QNA) - France's e-commerce sales approached €200 billion last year, marking a 7 percent increase, the French Federation of E-Commerce and Distance Selling (FEVAD) announced.
In its annual report released Wednesday, the federation said the growth was driven by an unprecedented rise in the frequency of purchases, which offset a decline in the average amount spent per transaction.
According to the report, total sales reached €196.4 billion last year, led primarily by the services sector. Services sales rose 9 percent to €120.3 billion, while product sales increased 4 percent to €76.1 billion.
Despite the expansion, the pace of growth in French e-commerce slowed in 2025 compared to 2024, when the sector recorded a 9.6 percent surge. The number of transactions climbed 10 percent to 3.2 billion purchases, equivalent to more than 100 orders per second across France. Meanwhile, the average online basket value declined by 3 percent to €62 per transaction. (QNA)
