Doha, November 04 (QNA) - The Qatar Society of Engineers continues its preparations for the "Qatar 3D Printing and Smart Manufacturing Conference 2026," scheduled to take place on Sunday in Doha.

The event is held under the patronage of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, in strategic partnership with UCC Holding, and will feature twenty speakers - including experts, engineers, specialists, and representatives from entities associated with the engineering and industrial sectors.

The conference is part of the Qatar Society of Engineers' ongoing efforts to enhance knowledge of modern technologies and support the transition toward more efficient, innovative, and sustainable manufacturing practices - in line with national aspirations. Through a series of scientific sessions, panel discussions, and research papers, participants will explore key strategic themes that reflect the rapid advancements in this field, with a particular focus on the construction and sustainable infrastructure sectors, as well as the role of 3D printing as a strategic shift in construction engineering.

Marking the occasion, Chairperson of the Qatar Society of Engineers, Eng. Amna Mohammed Al Naama, indicated that the conference aligns with the Qatar Society of Engineers' objective to promote the integration of modern technologies within the engineering sector. It also aims to provide engineers and specialists with the opportunity to explore advanced applications that are helping to reshape the future of the engineering and industrial sectors.

She considered the conference as an opportunity to exchange expertise and discuss the potential these technologies offer for enhancing efficiency, optimizing resource utilization, supporting industrial localization, and developing national capabilities. In this regard, she noted that under the auspices of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, and with significant strategic support from a partner as prominent and esteemed as UCC Holding, the Qatar Society of Engineers has ensured that the conference program bridges practical applications with a forward-looking vision. It addresses a diverse range of vital sectors, including construction, energy, heavy industry, policy and legislation, digital twins, and artificial intelligence, thereby enriching professional discourse. The goal is to generate ideas and recommendations that will bolster the future of 3D printing and smart manufacturing in the State of Qatar, in alignment with the objectives of the Qatar National Vision 2030.

The conference aims to provide an interactive platform that brings together the public and private sectors, academia, and experts to discuss the opportunities and challenges associated with adopting modern industrial technologies. It also seeks to showcase practical applications that foster innovation and contribute to the development of a more advanced and sustainable engineering and industrial ecosystem in the country.
