Doha, November 03 (QNA) - The Qatar Football Association's Executive Committee met on Tuesday under the chairmanship of HE QFA President Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al-Thani, going through a number of items on the agenda and reaching decisions on each.

Among the matters taken up, the committee signed off on a resignation submitted by Khaled Abdulla Al Sulaiti, thanking him for the efforts he had put in during his time in the role, and wishing him success in what comes next.

The committee also confirmed the appointment of HE Sheikh Ali bin Saud Al-Thani as a new member, based on a nomination that came from within the committee. The move fills the seat left vacant and covers the remainder of the board's current term, which runs to 2027 in line with the procedures set out in the Association's statute; the appointment is still subject to ratification at the next QFA General Assembly meeting.
