Doha, October 08 (QNA) - Qatar Museums (QM) presents Beyti Beytak (My Home is Your Home), a major exhibition organised by the future Art Mill Museum, at the Fahad bin Ali Palace in Doha.

On view from 26 October 2026 through 29 May 2027, the exhibition will feature works by more than 40 architects, designers, and practitioners from across the Middle East, North Africa, and South Asia region (MENASA) and beyond, exploring architecture as a vital social and cultural practice grounded in ideas of home, hospitality, collective care, and shared responsibility.

Originally presented at the 19th International Architecture Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia in 2025, the exhibition has been expanded for this iteration, featuring a new commission by Iraqi Architect Ola Znad, as well as archival research on the evolution of Doha's urbanisation. An extensive public programming for schools, universities and families will provide opportunities for unique engagement with the exhibition inviting the public to Fahad bin Ali Palace for the first time.

Organised in seven sections, the exhibition brings together architectural models, drawings, archival materials, films, and site-specific installations of communal places ranging from desert oases to contemporary museums, and from residences to sacred spaces. Presented in the historically significant Fahad bin Ali Palace, the exhibition creates a compelling dialogue between contemporary architecture and Doha's vibrant architectural heritage.

Among the pioneering modern architects represented are Raj Rewal (India), Nayyar Ali Dada (Pakistan), Abeer Seikaly (Jordan) and Minnette de Silva (Sri Lanka). Their work is highlighted along with that of a range of contemporary designers and architects. Beyti Beytak also reflects on the legacy of pioneering Egyptian architect and urbanist Hassan Fathy, whose work promoted social engagement while embracing vernacular forms, techniques, and materials.

Aurélien Lemonier, Senior Curator of Architecture, Design, and Gardens at the Art Mill Museum, said, “Beyti Beytak invites audiences to reflect on architecture as an act of generosity and responsibility. It foregrounds practices from across the MENASA region that respond to urgent social and environmental questions while remaining deeply connected to cultural heritage.”

Sean Anderson, Co-Curator, said, “With a special focus on the architecture of Doha, this presentation of Beyti Beytak celebrates the remarkable design history that characterises Qatar and links its peerless heritage with thriving contemporary practices.”

In conjunction with the exhibition, the Art Mill Museum will release a new publication, Beyti Beytak: Architectures of MENASA , that extends the exhibition's exploration of architecture across the region through critical essays, research, and project documentation. The publication offers a lasting record of the projects while contributing to wider discussions around contemporary architectural practices, regional histories, and the relationship between architecture and culture.

The exhibition's public programming will begin on 26 October 2026 with an opening conversation bringing together architects, practitioners, and contributors to the publication exploring the architectural narratives and ideas presented through Beyti Beytak.

Beyti Beytak is part of Qatar Museums' wide-ranging Fall 2026 programme of exhibitions, public art presentations, and initiatives designed to spark global cultural exchange and dialogue. (QNA)
