Abuja, October 05 (QNA) - President of Nigeria Bola Ahmed Tinubu revealed that 32 people died following the crash of a Nigerian Air Force plane.

This came in a statement issued by the Office of the President expressing condolences to the families of the 25 passengers and the 7 flight crew members.

Nigeria's Minister of Aviation, Festus Keyamo, stated earlier that the aircraft lost communication with the air traffic control tower while on its way to Lagos and it crashed in the southwest of the country.

Keyamo explained that the plane crashed near a naval base in the Igbukoda District Ondo State. Its wreckage was found while search and rescue missions are ongoing. (QNA)
