Kyiv, October 04 (QNA) - Russia unleashed more than 1,900 one-way attack drones, 1,700 aerial bombs and 25 missiles on Ukraine over the past week, said Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

In a post on Telegram Sunday, Zelenskyy said Russian forces launched 135 one-way attack drones at Ukraine overnight, more than 50 of them jet-powered, targeting Kyiv and the Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, Donetsk, Sumy and Zaporizhzhia regions.

The main targets included ordinary residential buildings and critical infrastructure facilities - essentially everything that makes normal daily life possible, Zelenskyy posted, noting that electricity was cut off in some communities as a result, while emergency services continue to deal with the situation on the ground.

This morning, the Russians struck Kyiv's Northern Bridge again with a drone. They also attacked an ordinary medical supplies warehouse in Sumy with drones, unfortunately killing one person. In Dnipro, they attacked a communications facility, injuring six people in the attacks, Zelenskyy said.

The Russia-Ukraine war, which erupted on Feb. 24, 2022, has seen efforts to reach a comprehensive political settlement stall, with military operations and offensives by both sides continuing unabated, while diplomatic efforts led by several international parties to halt the fighting have proceeded in fits and starts.
