Saudi Arabia's Global Congress Delves Into Intersections Between Arabic Language and Culture
Riyadh, October 04 (QNA) - The fifth annual international conference of the King Salman Global Academy for Arabic Language (KSGAAL) convened in Saudi Arabia on Sunday, bringing together researchers and specialists in language and culture from across the Kingdom and abroad to examine the intersections between Arabic language and culture and explore their various dimensions.
The two-day conference will explore the nexus between language and cultural identity; intercultural interaction; intellectual and artistic creativity; digital culture; cultural policies; and prospects for the future of culture.
Participants will examine the manifestations of Arabic language and culture across the gamut from identity and creativity to global interaction, digital transformations, and linguistic and cultural policies.
They will also examine the impact of social media in shaping cultural identity and spotlight artificial intelligence and digital transformations in the cultural domain.
The conference will further address the integration of language planning and cultural strategies, national legislation and regulations supporting Arabic, and institutional efforts to protect and promote the language culturally.
It will also explore the future cultural prospects of the Arabic language, examining the challenges and opportunities across the creative fields and knowledge economy, as well as future initiatives shaping the cultural landscape worldwide.
