Dakar, October 31 (QNA) - HE President of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al-Thani inaugurated the BAL4HER court in the Senegalese city of Guediawaye, in a move aimed at providing a sports space that brings together young men and women through basketball and helps them pursue their ambitions.
As the first court of its kind under the BAL4HER initiative in Africa, the facility is an outgrowth of the partnership between Qatar Foundation (QF) and the Basketball Africa League (BAL), aimed at expanding opportunities to practice the sport and strengthening the presence of girls in Africa's sports landscape.
Lauding this incredible partnership, HE Sheikh Joaan emphasized that it has helped turn the belief in the role of sports in empowering communities into reality. He expressed his gratitude to President of BAL Amadou Gallo Fall and all those who contributed to the success of this initiative. (QNA)
