Two Children Among Three Palestinians Injured in Israeli Fire in Gaza, Health Officials Say
Gaza, October 28 (QNA) - Three Palestinians, including two children, have been injured in Israeli attacks across the Gaza Strip, according to medical sources, as reports of shelling and gunfire continue despite a ceasefire agreement.
The sources said a Palestinian man and his young daughter were wounded in an Israeli strike in the Ard Al-Laymun area, south of Khan Younis, in southern Gaza, on Wednesday.
The incident coincided with heavy artillery shelling in eastern parts of the city and Israeli tank fire in the north-east, the sources said.
In Gaza City, a five-year-old girl was injured by gunfire from an Israeli drone in the north-east of the city. Israeli naval vessels also fired heavily off the city's coast, according to the report.
The Health Ministry said the death toll from the genocidal war, which began on Oct. 7, 2023, had risen to 74,564, with 175,770 people injured.
Since the ceasefire came into effect in October, 1,568 people have been killed and a further 5,649 injured, the ministry said in its daily statistical report.
The ministry added that the bodies of 845 people had been recovered during the same period.
A ceasefire agreement between Hamas and the Israeli occupation came into effect in October, but Israeli military operations, including air strikes, artillery shelling and gunfire, have continued in several parts of the Gaza Strip, according to the report. (QNA)
