PHCC to Hold Annual Partners and Families Advisory Group on Thursday
Doha, October 26 (QNA) - The Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) will hold the 8th meeting of its Partners and Family Advisory Group (PFAG) via video conference next Thursday.
The meeting, themed "together, we shape the digital transformation in primary health care," is part of the PHCC's ongoing efforts to strengthen community partnerships and develop health services that meet the needs of patients and their families.
The meeting addresses two main topics: the first concerns virtual consultation services, while the second focuses on the "Nar'aakom" (we care for you) digital services. The objective is to hear from service users, regarding their experiences, opinions, and suggestions for developing these digital services, enhancing their accessibility, and improving the overall user experience.
The organization of this meeting is an extension of the PHCC's approach to embedding the concept of person- and family-centered healthcare, and to involving patients in the development and evaluation of services, thereby helping to identify opportunities for improvement and enhance the quality of care provided.
PHCC Managing Director Dr. Mariam Ali Abdulmalik affirmed that the annual PFAG meeting reflects the PHCC's belief that the development of healthcare cannot be complete without listening to those who receive such care. She noted that the theme of this 8th meeting, digital transformation in primary healthcare services, is highly relevant to both the present and the future of healthcare.
For her part, Assistant Managing Director for Clinical Affairs and Executive Director of Operations at PHCC Dr. Samya Ahmad Al Abdulla said that an effective partnership with patients and their families serves as a fundamental pillar for enhancing operational performance, continuously improving the quality of services, and developing a healthcare experience that is more accessible, flexible, and transparent - one that is centered on the patient and responsive to their needs and aspirations.
In turn, Executive Director of Quality and Patient Safety at the PHCC Dr. Amal Abdullah Al Ali emphasized that the PFAG meeting with patient partners shifts the dialogue toward a rapidly evolving field, digital health services, and underscores the necessity of involving patients and their families, thereby fostering a model of care centered on the individual and the family.
Executive Director of Corporate Communications Department at PHCC Huda Mohsen Al Wahedi said that the PHCC believes that genuine communication goes beyond the mere transmission of information. Rather, it is rooted in dialogue, listening, and mutual understanding. She noted that the patient's voice is not just an opinion, but a valuable asset that the PHCC transforms into knowledge, that in turn, enhances the quality of care and the patient's experience. (QNA)
