Israeli Occupation Forces Make Foray into Daraa, Detain Syrian Citizen in Quneitra
Damascus, October 17 (QNA) - Israeli occupation forces detained a Syrian citizen during a thrust into the southern countryside of Quneitra Governorate involving more than 10 military vehicles.
Syrian sources reported that the forces carried out land-clearing operations on Hamriyah Hill near the village of Tarnajah in northern Quneitra, warning residents and farmers against approaching the area. They also sealed off the entrances to Hader leading to Tarnajah with earthen barriers.
In a separate foray, an Israeli military patrol comprising two vehicles thrust into the Wadi al-Raqad area in western Daraa Governorate, as reconnaissance aircraft flew over the area.
Israeli occupation forces continue to violate the 1974 Disengagement Agreement through repeated forays into southern Syria and raids. Syria has been clamoring for international intervention to halt these violations and compel Israeli forces to withdraw fully from its territory. (QNA)
