Lebanese Emergency Center: Israeli Overnight Raid Wounds Civilian
Beirut, January 06 (QNA) - The Israeli airstrike that struck one of the suburbs of Al Ghazieh, south of Saida, overnight wounded a Lebanese citizen, the Public Health Emergency Operations Center of the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health reported in a statement on Tuesday.
On Nov. 27, 2024, a ceasefire deal in southern Lebanon came into force, under which Israeli forces ought to have withdrawn from border villages and towns within 60 days.
Subsequently, the Lebanese government agreed to extend the deadline until February 18, however, the occupation army maintained its positions at five points and continues its violations.
These breaches have exceeded 7,000 air intrusions and over 2,400 military activities within the UNIFIL forces' operations zone in southern Lebanon since last November. (QNA)
