Doha, January 05 (QNA) - The Investment and Trade Court received a group of children from the Orphan Care Center (Dreama) of the Qatar Social Work Foundation, as part of the "Little Lawyer" program.
This initiative falls within the court's role in supporting community-oriented awareness initiatives and familiarizing children with the judicial process in a simplified manner suitable for their age.
The visit included children attending in person a session for the pronouncement of judgment in one of the cases, with the objective of apprising them of litigation proceedings and the mechanisms of judicial session progress.
Thereafter, the children toured the court's facilities, during which they were briefed on the court's purviews, as well as the judicial services it provides, thereby reinforcing their understanding of the concept of justice and the importance of respecting the law.
HE President of the Investment and Trade Court, Judge Khalid bin Ali Al Obaidly, emphasized that such visits are part of the court's commitment to bolstering its societal role and promoting legal culture.
He stressed the importance of engaging children from various age groups, alongside children in foster care, in awareness programs that help broaden their knowledge and self-confidence.
Al Obaidly added that the court cherishes societal responsibility and social action as core pillars within its institutional orientation, emphasizing that through these initiatives, the court strives to bring judicial work closer to society, in addition to fostering societal partnership to have a positive and enduring impact.
