Cairo, January 05 (QNA) - Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty discussed the latest developments in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank with Vice President of Palestine Hussein Al Sheikh, who is visiting.

During the meeting, the Egyptian Foreign Ministry said that Abdelatty affirmed the constants of Egypt's position in support of the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.

He stressed the importance of transitioning to the second phase of US President Donald Trump's plan and continuing efforts to ensure the flow of humanitarian and relief assistance.

In the same context, the Egyptian Foreign Minister emphasized the need to create suitable conditions to move toward a just political settlement of the Palestinian issue in accordance with relevant international legitimacy resolutions, in a manner that supports early recovery and reconstruction efforts.
