Algiers, January 5 (QNA) - The Algerian army eliminated 67 militants and arrested 369 others last year.

In a statement on Monday, the Algerian army explained that, as part of its efforts to maintain the security, unity, and stability of the country, it achieved significant results in combating terrorism and organized crime in all its forms during the past year.

The statement noted that the Algerian armed forces eliminated 67 militants and arrested 369 support elements, in addition to destroying 12 hideouts used by armed groups and recovering 104 firearms and quantities of ammunition.

On another note, more than 24,000 illegal immigrants were apprehended in various parts of Algeria. (QNA)
