Qatar Participates in World Customs Organization Technology Conference and Exhibition
Doha, January 31 (QNA) - The State of Qatar participated in the World Customs Organization's Technology Conference and Exhibition in Abu Dhabi, under the theme "Customs Agility in a Complex World: Securing and Facilitating Trade through Innovation."
The Qatari delegation to the conference was headed by HE President of the General Authority of Customs, Ahmed bin Abdullah Al Jamal.
Conference sessions featured in-depth discussions on a range of key issues, foremost among them strategies to secure borders and enhance the safety of international trade, as well as mechanisms to facilitate trade flows through advanced digital pathways.
Participants also reviewed current challenges facing customs risk management administrations. They explored ways to leverage artificial intelligence and cloud computing technologies in connectivity and data analysis, highlighting their effective role in strengthening comprehensive customs security systems.
The Qatari delegation delivered a visual presentation highlighting the State of Qatar's experience in adopting advanced strategies to accelerate digital transformation and enhance inspection efficiency at customs ports. The presentation showcased technologies that have enabled frontline officers to make immediate and accurate decisions.
On the sidelines of the conference, President of the General Authority of Customs and the accompanying delegation toured the exhibition, where they were briefed on the latest solutions and innovations presented by participating entities, as well as advanced technologies serving the customs sector and contributing to securing supply chains and facilitating global trade.
