Doha, January 30 (QNA) - The Ministry of Culture (MOC) announced Friday that it will host the Kazakh Cultural Week, scheduled to take place from Wednesday, 4 February, through 7 February, at Darb Al Saai in Umm Salal.
The initiative forms part of broader efforts to advance cultural diplomacy and strengthen channels of cultural exchange, reflecting the growing artistic and human connection between Qatar and Kazakhstan.
The Kazakh Cultural Week represents a significant milestone in bilateral relations, highlighting the role of culture as a key platform for dialogue and mutual understanding between the two countries.
The program features a wide range of activities showcasing the diversity of Kazakh culture, including traditional fashion displays, musical performances, handicraft exhibitions, traditional carpets, visual arts presentations, and live culinary experiences.
These events offer visitors an opportunity to engage closely with Kazakhstan's cultural heritage and social identity in an interactive setting that encourages cross-cultural dialogue.
MOC underscored its commitment to positioning cultural weeks as an open platform for international cultural engagement, reinforcing Qatar's role as a hub for global cultural dialogue and a meeting point for diverse cultures.
The current season builds on a series of successful cultural initiatives in recent years.
Following the Kazakh Cultural Week, Qatar will host the Russian Cultural Week, reflecting the expanding scope of its international cultural partnerships. Qatar previously hosted cultural weeks for Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, and Kyrgyzstan in 2024, followed by Egypt, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, and Iran in 2025. (QNA)
