Kuwait’s Al Qurain Cultural Festival Highlights Role of Arab Women in Development
Kuwait, Jan. 29 (QNA) - The 31st edition of Kuwait's Al Qurain Cultural Festival has highlighted the role of Arab women in development through an exhibition organized on Thursday by Al Arabi magazine.
The exhibition features a curated selection of photographs documenting the presence and active participation of Arab women across various fields of life. The images were captured by Al Arabi photographers during visual surveys conducted across different parts of the Arab world.
Speaking at the opening of the exhibition, Al Arabi Editor-in-Chief Ibrahim Al Mulaifi said that since its launch in 1958, the magazine has sought to present a vivid and well-documented portrayal of Arab societies, showcasing their vitality and cultural and social diversity.
He noted that the magazine has placed particular emphasis on highlighting the professional roles played by Arab women in the labor market, adding that these photographs have helped challenge prevailing stereotypes and offered an objective depiction of the role of Arab women and their importance in the process of economic and social development.
