Doha, January 25 (QNA) - CNN will host the second edition of its "Global Perspectives" series in Doha on April 20, in partnership with the Qatar Media City, which will act as the official host for the event.

The Doha edition follows the success of the inaugural Global Perspectives on Africa event held last November. The series brings together senior officials, business leaders, thinkers and visionaries to discuss pressing issues in geopolitics, technology, media and culture.

CNN journalists will moderate the panels and provide editorial coverage across the network's platforms.

HE Chairman of Qatar Media City, Sheikh Dr Abdullah bin Ali bin Saud Al-Thani, said hosting the event in Doha highlights Qatar's growing role as a global platform for dialogue and a bridge between East and West, while reinforcing the Media City's vision as a hub for innovation and international discourse.

EIlana Lee, CNN Senior Vice President and General Manager for Asia-Pacific, said the series provides a unique opportunity to explore diverse topics from multiple perspectives.

She added that the upcoming edition would focus on the Gulf and Middle East as a central hub for global discussion.

CNN Executive Vice President Phil Nelson said the network looked forward to expanding its presence in events and stressed the importance of collaboration with Qatar Media City, which offers advanced infrastructure and a broad network of partnerships to support the event’s success.

CNN is one of the leading cable news brands in the United States, with extensive reach across television and digital platforms, and a global audience numbering in the millions. (QNA)
