Doha, January 22 (QNA) - Al Arabi defeated Al Sadd in straight sets in their match Thursday, as part of the second round of the Qatar Volleyball League for Men. All matches are being held at the Qatar Volleyball Association hall, with 10 clubs participating.

Al Arabi's victory came with set scores of 25-22, 25-16, and 25-19, bringing their total to 27 points and placing them second in the standings, just one point behind Al Wakrah, the league leaders. This also widens the gap between Al Arabi and Al Rayyan, who are in third place, to five points.

Meanwhile, Al Sadd remain at the bottom of the table with two points, two points behind Al Gharafa, who are in ninth place.

It is worth noting that Al Rayyan and Al Wakrah will participate in the West Asian Men's Volleyball Championship, which will be held in Kuwait from February 4 to 14.

Al Rayyan, the defending champion and representative of Qatari volleyball, will open the matches on February 4 against Oman’s Majees Club in the first match of the tournament for the first group, while Al Wakrah Club, the second representative of Qatari volleyball, will play their match on the same day against Bahrain’s Al Ahli Club for the second group.(QNA)
