Prime Minister of Somalia Discusses Strengthening Cooperation with World Bank Official
Mogadishu, January 19 (QNA) - Prime Minister of Somalia Hamza Abdi Barre met on Monday with Regional Director for East Africa at the International Finance Corporation (IFC), part of the World Bank Group, Marie-Porter Peshka, who is currently visiting Somalia, to discuss ways to strengthen cooperation between the two sides.
The talks focused in particular on the implementation of Somalia's National Transformation Plan (NTP 2025–2029), which represents a key framework for developing economic infrastructure, advancing the private sector, enhancing participation in mutually beneficial development projects, and promoting innovation and entrepreneurship.
During the meeting, the Somali Prime Minister noted that the country has made tangible progress in income growth in recent years.
For her part, the IFC East Africa Director affirmed the Corporation's commitment to further strengthening cooperation with the Somali government. (QNA)
