Doha, January 15 (QNA) - Qatar Financial Centre (QFC) CEO Mansoor Rashid Al-Khater reaffirmed QFC’s role as a cornerstone of Qatar’s business and financial ecosystem, and on the pedigree the centre has gained over the past two decades. He also made a milestone announcement on the centre's next phase of growth.

This came during a ceremony QFC held in its new headquarters in Lusail, coinciding with its 20th anniversary and the launch of its new brand identity "Grow with Confidence." The ceremony saw the attendance of several ranking officials, partners, and business leaders in various sectors in Qatar.

He highlighted that QFC currently hosts nearly 4,000 companies, creating around 13,000 jobs, and serves as a bridge connecting Qatar to global markets. He shed light on the centre's leading role and future aspirations that fit the state's view of Lusail as a leading business and innovation destination. He also reflected on QFC's path since its inception until it became a credible platform operating in accordance with the highest international legal and regulatory standards.

He said that a key focus for QFC in the coming years will be to consolidate the State of Qatar’s position as a global wealth hub, accelerate digital transformation of the financial services sector, and continue supporting Qatar National Vision 2030 goals of achieving sustainable and comprehensive growth.

He also said that his vision for QFC is to "set the benchmark for modern financial centres, not just through the strength of our legal and regulatory framework, but through the quality of our engagement, the client-centric approach we take, and the flexibility we offer to adapt to the needs of those who operate on our platform."

As part of its evolution, QFC officially unveiled its new brand identity, reflecting a more confident, modern, and forward-looking positioning. The refreshed identity aligns QFC’s visual and verbal language with its expanded mandate and the growing sophistication of the market it serves.

Complementing the new brand identity, QFC also launched its new Grow with Confidence campaign, introducing it as the organisation’s new slogan, replacing We Mean Business. The shift reflects QFC’s evolution into a long-term growth partner for businesses, supporting them not only at the point of entry, but throughout their full lifecycle of growth and expansion. The message is grounded in the confidence generated by QFC’s established legal and regulatory framework, its competitive tax environment, and 20 years of experience operating in line with international best practice.

As QFC enters its third decade, the organisation continues to position itself as a gateway for regional and international businesses, supporting Qatar’s ambition to be a leading global financial and commercial hub.

QFC was established as a platform for companies who wish to operate in Qatar or the region more broadly. It enables full foreign ownership of companies, the repatriation of all profits, all while setting a competitive corporate tax rate of 10%. (QNA)
