US SpaceX Launches 29 New Satellites into Space
Washington, January 10 (QNA) - The US-based Space Exploration Technologies Corporation (SpaceX) on Saturday launched 29 new Starlink satellites into space to boost high-speed broadband internet.
According to a statement on SpaceX's official website, the Falcon 9 rocket lifted off from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida, carrying the satellites into low-Earth orbit.
The company added that the first stage of the rocket successfully returned to Earth approximately 8.5 minutes after liftoff, landing on the drone ship Just Read the Instructions stationed in the Atlantic Ocean.
This marked the twenty-ninth launch and landing of this specific booster. The 29 satellites were deployed into low-Earth orbit on schedule, roughly 65 minutes after launch.
This mission represents the third Starlink launch in 2026 and the fourth overall for SpaceX in the new year, following the deployment of 29 new Starlink satellites on January 3 to strengthen broadband internet service.
SpaceX's Starlink network constitutes the largest satellite constellation ever assembled, with nearly 9,400 active spacecraft currently in orbit.
The system aims to provide high-speed internet with low latency across the entire planet. (QNA)
