Amman, September 25 (QNA) - Qatar won the bronze medal at the first Asian U-17 Handball Championship held in the Jordanian capital, Amman, which qualified for the World Championship in Morocco.
The Qatari team defeated Bahrain 33-26 today in the third-place match.
Qatar topped Group B in the group stage with four points from two wins, the first against China 38-24 and the second against Saudi Arabia 27-23.
The final match of the tournament will be held later Thursday between South Korea and Iran, who have secured representation for Asia in the inaugural World Youth (U-17) Handball Championship, which will be held in Morocco from October 24 to November 1. (QNA)
