Ljubljana, September 2 (QNA) - The Qatari handball team are holding a training camp in Slovenia as part of its preparation program for the Sixth Islamic Solidarity Games, scheduled to be held in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from November 7 to 21, 2025.

The camp will continue until Sep.17, during which the team will participate in intensive training and a number of friendly matches to assess their level of readiness before returning to Doha for the final stage of preparations and then heading to Riyadh to participate in the Islamic Solidarity Games.

The Qatari handball team are seeking to make a new achievement in the tournament, having won the gold medal in the previous edition hosted by the Turkish city of Konya, after defeating the host nation Turkiye in the final with a score of 26-23. (QNA)
