Doha, August 09 (QNA) - Al Wakrah SC announced on Saturday the signing of Algerian player Redouane Berkane from Algerian club JS Kabylie on a four-year contract, to bolster the first-team squad for the upcoming season.

In a statement on X, the club stated that Berkane, 22, will join the team to strengthen its ranks in local and continental competitions.

The club also announced the signing of Salem Al Hajri, 29, from Al Sadd SC.

Al Wakrah had signed several players, most notably Spaniard Raul de Tomas, Brazilian Lucas Verissimo, Moroccan Amine Zahzouh, Fahad Waad, and defender Mohammed Ayash.

The team is now in the final stages of preparations for the new season in Doha after its training camp in Spain between July 19 and August 3.

Al Wakrah will kick off the new season of the Qatari league (Doha Bank Stars League) with a match against Al Arabi on August 15. (QNA)
