Washington, August 31 (QNA) - The US-based aerospace technology company (SpaceX), has successfully deployed 28 new Starlink V2 Mini satellites into low Earth orbit on Sunday, as part of its strategic endeavor to expand its global satellite broadband network.

The Falcon 9 rocket lifted off from Space Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida, carrying the satellites to their designated orbital slots, SpaceX said in a statement.

The first stage of the booster, designated B1077, executed a precise return and landed on SpaceX's autonomous drone ship, stationed in the Atlantic Ocean approximately one hour and five minutes post-launch.

This operation marked the 23rd flight of Falcon 9's first stage from this booster batch, and represented SpaceX's 112th mission of 2025,108 of which involved Falcon 9 launches, with the remaining four being non-orbital Starship test flights.

With this deployment, the total number of operational Starlink satellites in low Earth orbit surpasses 8,100, significantly enhancing the network's capacity to deliver near-global high-speed internet coverage. (QNA)
