Syria Condemns Israeli Aggression on Its Territory, Urges International Community to Take Urgent Action
Damascus, August 26 (QNA) - Syria condemned the recent Israeli attacks on its territory, which resulted in the death of a young man during the bombing of his home in the village of Taranja in the northern Qunaitra countryside.
The attacks also included the incursion of Israeli forces and their arrest campaigns against civilians in the town of Suwaysa. The Syrian army also announced its continued presence on the summit of Jabal El Sheikh (Mount Hermon) and the buffer zone.
In a statement, the Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed that these practices constitute a flagrant violation of the United Nations Charter and Security Council resolutions and pose a direct threat to regional peace and security.
The ministry reiterated its call on the international community, particularly the Security Council, to take urgent action to halt the violations, stressing Syria's inalienable right to defend its land and people by all means guaranteed by international law. (QNA)
