Qatar Anti-Doping Commission Launches Leaders Program to Promote Integrity in Sports
Doha, August 25 (QNA) - Qatar Anti-Doping Commission announced the launch of its new awareness program “Leaders”, as part of its ongoing efforts to promote fair play and strengthen the values of integrity within Qatar's sporting community.
Leaders program targets young and talented athletes, with its first activities launched in collaboration with the Athletes' Commission of the Qatar Olympic Committee. The program will later be rolled out across clubs and various sports bodies.
It adds a new dimension to the Commission's educational initiatives under its “Play It Right” campaign, which includes pioneering programs such as the “Role Model” program for international and local athletes, Sanad “Support” for support staff, and the Summer of Values initiative, which engaged children through summer camps.
Commenting on the launch, Director of Education and Research Department at the Qatar Anti-Doping Commission, Sheikha Ahmed Manna Al Jaal, said the Leaders program seeks to prepare a generation of conscious and responsible athletes, capable of spreading a culture of integrity both on and off the field, and driving positive change in sports, in line with Qatar's vision of establishing sport as a human and ethical value.
