Gaza, August 24 (QNA) - Twenty four Palestinians were killed and others injured on Sunday evening by Israeli occupation forces' fire in different areas of the Gaza Strip.

Local sources reported that 10 civilians were killed and others injured as a result of the occupation's targeting of people waiting for humanitarian aid in the northern Gaza Strip.

They added that 8 citizens were killed and several others wounded in an Israeli artillery bombardment that targeted citizens' homes in the vicinity of Al-Qayed Street in Al-Sabra neighborhood, south of Gaza City. Meanwhile, a citizen was killed and others were injured when occupation aircraft targeted a group of citizens in the Al-Zarqa area in Al-Tuffah neighborhood, northeast of the city.

In another incident, one Palestinian was killed and several others were injured following Israel's targeting of people waiting for aid east of Deir al-Balah, in the central Gaza Strip. In addition, two other civilians were killed in an Israeli bombardment near the Morag aid center in Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip. Two children were also killed in an Israeli strike targeting a displaced persons' tent in Al-Qadisiyah camp, west of the city.

Since October 7, 2023, the occupation forces have killed 62,686 Palestinians, with 157,951 injured, according to the health ministry in Gaza. (QNA)
