Doha, August 23 (QNA) - The Sheikh Abdullah bin Zaid Al Mahmoud Islamic Cultural Center, operating under the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs (Awqaf), concluded the fifth edition of its Summer Student Forum.

Organized in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MOEHE), the forum welcomed 120 male and female students from preparatory and secondary levels, all non-Arabic-speaking Muslims.

The initiative reflects the center’s commitment to investing youth time in ways that benefit their religious, educational, and cultural development.

In a statement, the center noted that this year’s edition targeted students from 14 different nationalities enrolled in international schools across the country.

The program aimed to teach the principles of Islamic Sharia and instill educational and ethical values through a modern pedagogical approach that combines benefit with enjoyment.

The forum extended beyond lectures and lessons, incorporating recreational and educational activities, as well as field visits to major national landmarks including Imam Muhammad bin Abdul Wahhab Mosque, the Museum of Islamic Art, the National Museum, the Olympic Museum, and The Pearl Island.

Students also explored environmental efforts and contemporary experiences within the country.

The center emphasized that the forum represents a long-term investment in the awareness of emerging generations, helping build a conscious community base capable of contributing to the goals and vision of Qatar National Vision 2030.

It aims to nurture individuals who are more committed to their religious values and more aware of their responsibilities toward themselves, their families, and their nation.

The closing ceremony honored participating teachers and instructors, celebrated outstanding students, and distributed gifts to all participants. (QNA)
