Tehran, August 22 (QNA) - Five Iranian police officers were killed Friday in an armed attack in the east of the country.
The Iranian Internal Security Forces Command said in a statement that unidentified gunmen attacked two police vehicles in the Damen area of Iranshahr, Sistan and Baluchestan Province, and clashed with the security personnel. Five of them were killed in the exchange of fire.
The statement said that the attackers fled the scene, but that regular forces are still tracking them and investigating their identities, without providing further details. (QNA)
