Doha, August 18 (QNA) - Al Shamal SC announced the loan of player Khaled Mahmoudi to Al Khor SC starting from the current season.

The club said in a statement Monday that Mahmoudi will join the Al Khor first football team, without announcing the length of the loan.

Al Shamal signed Mahmoudi during the current summer transfer window from Qatar SC to bolster the team's defense.

The club has also strengthened its ranks with numerous signings, both local and foreign, over the past period.

It is worth noting that Al Shamal defeated Al Ahli 2-0 in the first round of the Qatari football league (Doha Bank Stars League) and finished third in the league standings with three points, on goal difference behind Al Gharafa and Al Rayyan, who occupy first and second place.

Al Shamal will play their second match in the Qatari league against Al Rayyan on Friday in the second round of the tournament, while Al Khor will play their first match in the Second Division on Tuesday against Muaither. (QNA)
