Doha, July 08 (QNA) - The Supreme Judiciary Council (SJC) announced Tuesday the launch of a new set of digital services through WhatsApp, utilizing a virtual assistant powered by robotic process automation (RPA) technologies.

This initiative is part of the Council’s ongoing efforts to modernize the justice system and facilitate smart, rapid access to judicial services.

This launch aligns with Qatar’s digital transformation strategy under the national initiative to develop justice systems.

It complements a broader package of judicial service upgrades, including the digitization of litigation procedures and their availability through multiple channels to ensure innovative and accessible paths to justice.

WhatsApp was selected as the platform due to its widespread use among the public, offering a familiar and simple interface that allows users to access services directly without the need to register on the court portal or app. Services can be accessed via the number (44597777).

The first batch of digital services available through WhatsApp includes submitting a memorandum related to the user’s case, inquiring about case statuses, obtaining a copy of a judgment or case summary, receiving a copy of the session minutes, and checking the date of the next court session.

Users can interact instantly with the virtual assistant to access these services securely and conveniently.

The virtual assistant operates around the clock from any location, drawing on the court system while ensuring the highest standards of privacy and confidentiality.

It interacts with the phone number registered in the user’s national address.

The SJC emphasized that this step marks the first phase of a comprehensive digital transformation project aimed at enhancing the litigant experience and improving judicial service efficiency through AI and automation.

The goal is to make justice more accessible while saving time and effort for the public.

The Council noted that this initiative will help reduce pressure on traditional service channels and enable individuals to obtain judicial documents and services electronically without visiting court premises or logging into the court portal.

Previously, the SJC launched several e-services, including personalized user pages on the court portal to view documents and case progress, channels for security deposit payments, electronic memorandum submission, document verification through the court system, and SMS delivery of judgment links without requiring login.

The Supreme Judiciary Council continues to advance toward a fully integrated digital judicial system, focusing on developing more efficient and innovative service channels to accelerate case resolution and ensure swift justice for all members of society. (QNA)
